i just signed up for a continental one pass checking card from first hawaiian bank. it's open to all customers in guam and saipan, i think. it's actually a pretty good deal--for every dollar you spend, you earn two one pass miles, and for every ticket you purchase with the card, you get double mileage. and since i received a promotion flyer in the mail, i had a choice of a nylon computer bag/briefcase, or nylon duffelbag/cooler. god, i love island banks! you can still get promo stuff. i remember before american savings got swallowed up by bank of hawaii? first hawaiian? they used to give away toasters and rice cookers. i love the giveaways for fhb's primera savings accounts for kids; you get a seventies-ish ceramic piggy bank of bloated animal figures in garish pastel shades. i want the blowfish.
